Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
KAMK is launching a new English-taught Nursing degree that is arranged as a full-time programme on campus.
Hakuaika: 8.1.-22.1.2025
Nurses play a crucial role in promoting health, preventing diseases, and providing rehabilitative care. During your Bachelor of Health Care studies, you will acquire the skills needed to plan, assess, and enhance nursing care. The curriculum includes core and professional studies, clinical training, and a bachelor’s thesis. Teaching methods combine contact teaching, nursing simulations, XR-technology, serious games, online learning, and independent study. Practical skills are developed through clinical skills labs (CSLs) and simulations to prepare you for real-life scenarios.
The nursing program is structured in accordance with the European Parliament’s directives. To graduate, students must complete 210 credits, covering essential areas such as professionalism, ethics, communication, health promotion, leadership, and patient safety. Additionally, the program emphasizes evidence-based practice, decision-making, entrepreneurship, and quality assurance in healthcare systems.
Upon graduation, students will qualify as Registered Nurses, ready to work in both primary and specialized care settings. Graduates also have opportunities to pursue further studies at the master’s level or specialize in a specific field. The National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) will grant a license to practice nursing in Finland and other EU countries, enabling a rewarding and impactful career.
