Application schedule

• Application opens: 27 August 2026 at 8:00 AM (UTC+3)
• Application closes: When the study places for each programme are filled, or at the latest on 10 December 2026 at 3:00 PM (UTC+2)
• Deadline to accept the offer of admission: Within 21 days of receiving the admission notice
• Deadline to pay tuition fee (if applicable): New students pay the tuition fee at the time of confirming the study place. The fee must be paid at once and cannot be paid in installments.
• Tuition fee amount: Tuition fee for Bachelor´s Degree is 10 000 EUR per academic year and for Master´s Degrees 12 000 EUR per academic year.
• Early Bird scholarship: There is no Early Bird scholarship in the Rolling Admission process.
• Studies begin: Autumn 2027

Rolling admission

• You can submit only one application during the Rolling Admission period.
• Applications are reviewed, and study places are offered in the order in which complete applications are received.
• Priority is given to applicants who submit all required attachments by the deadline and pay the application fee.
• The number of available study places is limited.
• The earlier you apply and if you are accepted, the sooner you can start a possible residence permit process.
• Once all available study places have been filled, no further applications will be processed, and remaining applicants will not be considered for admission.
• This process does not include a waiting list or replacement selection.

How to apply

• Fill in the online application at www.studyinfo.fi during the application period.
  Note! Applicants must complete the application themselves and use their own contact details.
• There is an application fee for applying to higher education institutions in Finland. The application fee is collected from applicants from countries outside EU/EEA. Please read more about application fees on  Studyinfo.fi. The application fee is not refunded if you cancel your application or are not offered admission.
• Upload all required documents at the same time you submit your application.
• Applications are processed in order of submission.
• Once the study places have been fulfilled, new applications are not considered..

Admission Results and Study Place Confirmation

• Applicants will be informed of the admission results by email as soon as their complete application has been processed.
• The study place must be accepted electronically via the My Studyinfo service by following the link provided in the email.
• The offer must be accepted within 21 days of the admission notice.
• Note! There is no Early Bird in the Rolling Admission process.

Applicants who accept their study place must also register as either attending or non-attending students for the 2027-2028 academic year. Those admitted who are required to pay tuition fees will only be registered as attending students upon payment of the fees. Tuition fee must be paid within 21 days. Please be aware that applying through educational agents or organizations does not provide any advantages in securing a study place.

Please take into consideration the One Study Place per Term -provision! A student may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term. This rule applies to all higher education. Applicant can accept only one study place in a degree programme starting in autumn 2027 in a university of applied sciences or a university in Finland. If you are admitted to a programme and accept the study place, your existing study rights at the same or lower level will be terminated. When you accept the study place, you will be shown which study rights will end as a result.
The decision to accept the study place – and thereby terminate your previous study rights – is binding and cannot be changed afterwards.

Application fee

There will be an application fee when applying to higher education. Application fee is collected from applicants from countries outside EU/EEA. Please read more about application fees at Studyinfo.fi.

The application fee is not refunded if you cancel your application or are not offered admission.

Applicants need to accept the study place and pay the tuition fee within 21 days.

There is no Early Bird scholarship for applicants applying through rolling admission.

Bachelor’s Degrees (as of 1 August 2027)

• Tuition fee per year: 10 000 EUR
• Full degree 3,5 years, total: 35 000 EUR
• Full degree 4 years, total: 40 000 EUR

Master’s Degrees (as of 1 August 2027)

• Tuition fee per year: 12 000 EUR
• Full degree, graduation in 1,5 years: 18 000 EUR
• Full degree, graduation in 2 years: 24 000 EUR

Tuition Fees and Scholarships

Accepted students will receive email from Studyinfo (study place offer and link for accepting a study place) and from KAMK (acceptance letter with tuition fee payment instructions).
The study place must be accepted electronically via the My Studyinfo service by following the link provided in the email.
Make sure that to confirm your study place by the given deadline. Otherwise, you will lose the offered study place. Confirmation of the study place is binding and cannot be altered or cancelled.

Deadline to arrive to start your studies at KAMK

New students admitted to programmes beginning in autumn 2027 are required to arrive by 17 August 2027 at the latest.

Original documents will be checked from admitted students

The original documents must be equivalent to the copies delivered during the application period. The applicant who has enrolled as present and does not bring the original certificates to be checked when asked or does not change the enrollment of presence into enrolment of absence, will forfeit the right to study.

Please store the original certificates which you used for applying. Original documents will be verified at the campus if necessary and all selected students must have their original documents with them when moving into Kajaani.

Video task for Bachelor´s Degree in Sports Coaching and Business Management 

Sports Coaching and Business Management in Rolling Admission, applicants are required to submit also a video task. The video task must be submitted together with the application. As an exception, applicants applying with an SAT test score are not required to submit the video assignment.

Performing physical, sports related tasks based on written instructions and an instruction video. Filming a video of the applicants own performance. The video assignment is eliminating. The applicant must pass the video task in order to proceed to the next stage of the selection process (interview).

Assessment: Pass / Fail.
The video task will be assessed only for applicants who meet the eligibility requirements.

All applicants, including native speakers of English, must demonstrate their English language proficiency.

Applicants without an accepted English language certificate must take part in an interview.
Applicants applying with SAT test are not required to provide proof of English language proficiency.

Accepted methods of proving your language proficiency in English for Bachelor´s Degrees:  
1.) language test,
2.) other methods of demonstrating language skills (previous studies) or
3.) interview for applicants without an accepted English language certificate.

An applicant who does not demonstrate their English proficiency in any of the above-mentioned ways cannot be admitted in the rolling admission.

1) Language tests  

• IELTS Academic: a minimum total score of 6.0 (Test sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) General-level tests are not accepted. KAMK accepts also IELTS Online (Academic) test. The results are verified electronically. Find more instructions on the test administrator website.
• TOEFL Academic (iBT): a minimum total score of 60 for tests taken before 21 January 2026, or a minimum total score of 3.5 for tests taken on or after 21 January 2026 (Test sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing). The scores must be received electronically directly from the test administrator by the deadline. Unofficial score reports sent by applicants will not be accepted. TOEFL code 1563.
• Pearson PTE Academic: a minimum total score of 55 (Test sections: Speaking and Writing, Reading, and Listening). PTE test scores must be sent via the test administrator’s electronic service.
• Cambridge C1 Advanced/ C2 Proficiency:  Minimum score requirements: a minimum total score of 169 (B2 First, C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency. No other Cambridge language tests are accepted.) (Test sections: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking)
• TELC (The European Language Certificate) English B2-C1 university qualification, completed on or after 1 October 2021: minimum of B2 level (Test sections: Listening/Reading/Language Elements, Writing and Speaking)
• Oxford ELLT Global: (English Language Level Test), completed on or after 1 July 2023: a minimum total score of 6.0 (Test sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)

IELTS Academic UKVI, IELTS Online, PTE Academic Online, PTE Academic UKVI and TOEFL iBT Home Edition and Oxford ELLT Digital are also accepted.

There are no expiration dates, but the language test result must be verifiable from the online verification service of the organizer. The TOEFL test cannot be verified after two years. The IELTS test cannot be verified after three years. If the test scores can no longer be verified, the test is not valid. The applicant should make sure that the test results are not too old. If the applicant is unsure and the test results are more than 2 years old, it is advised to retake the test.

2) Other methods of demonstrating English language skills  

• National Certificate of Language Proficiency (YKI) English: Grade 4 or higher on all the subtests (speaking, listening comprehension, writing, and reading comprehension)
• Higher education degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) completed in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or the United States, or a doctoral thesis completed in English in any country. Please note that your degree must be taught and assessed entirely in English**.
  • Degrees from international schools or institutions located outside the listed countries, where the degree is completed locally but awarded by an institution from another country, do not qualify.
• Upper secondary degree completed in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or the United States. Please note that your degree must be taught and assessed entirely in English**.
  • The degree must also be a qualification that provides eligibility for higher education in the country in which it was awarded.
  • Degrees from international schools or institutions located outside the listed countries, where the degree is completed locally but awarded by an institution from another country, do not qualify.
• One of the following grades in the Finnish Matriculation Examination, European Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate, or Reifeprüfung/DIA:
  • Finnish Matriculation Examination: English advanced syllabus with a minimum grade C
  • The whole International Baccalaureate diploma or International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) completed in English
  • DP Course Results or IB certificate or IB Final Report completed in English
  • International Baccalaureate final examination: English A HL/SL or English B HL/SL with a minimum grade 4
  • European Baccalaureate: at least grade 6.00 in L2-level English
  • Reifeprüfung/DIA diploma (completed in Finland): at least grade 7 in advanced English

**The language of instruction must be clearly stated on official documents. You can also document this by submitting a certificate/letter from your university / educational institution in addition to your official study documentation.

Certificates must be uploaded to the application at the same time that application is submitted.

3) Interviews 

Applicants without an accepted English language certificate must take part in an interview. Only eligible applicants who submit the degree certificate with the required GPA and have paid the application fee will be invited to the interview.
The applicant must indicate on the application form whether they will participate in the online interview (in Teams) or interview on-site (in Colombo or in Istanbul).
Interviews for the Nursing and Sports programmes are conducted online only.

Online interviews will be conducted first. If there are still study places available after the online interviews, applicants may attend on-site interviews. After that, online interviews will continue according to the schedule if there are still study places available.

KAMK University of Applied Sciences reserves the right to close the study programme once enough applications have been received to fill all available study places.

Certificate-based selection 

• In most cases, you are eligible to apply for Bachelor’s level studies in Finland if you are eligible to apply for higher education in your home country.
• You can be considered in the certificate-based selection if your upper secondary qualification meets the general eligibility requirements for bachelor’s studies and you have provided sufficient documentation of both the qualification and its grading system in your application.
• The minimum accepted average (GPA) is 54 %. Each application is assessed individually, as grading systems differ between countries.

You can also apply to all Bachelor’s degree programmes with the SAT test result (with required score).

The SAT test contains following sections:

1. Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 
Reading Test and Writing and Language Test

2. Math 

The minimum required scores are:
400 from Evidence-based Reading and Writing
400 from Mathematics

SAT designated code for KAMK is 7787.

Only the new version of SAT test (completed after March 2016) is accepted.

Please order your SAT score to be delivered to KAMK before you submit the application in Rolling admission.

Online group interviews will be arranged in Teams. The interview lasts approximately 30 minutes.
The interview will be assessed on a scale of pass / fail.

Interviews in Sri Lanka and Turkey:

24 – 25 October 2026 in Colombo, Sri Lanka
31 October – 1 November 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey

Detailed instructions and information about the entrance examination venue and schedule will be sent to applicants by email in week 41.
The invitation will include the location and time of the entrance exam (country, city, street address, date, time).
Only applicants with a valid application submitted latest by 1 October 2026 via Studyinfo will be invited for an on-site interview.

Notice! Interviews for the Nursing and Sports programmes are conducted online only. 

The applicant must attach the following documents to their application form, when applying:

1. Final educational certificate

Applying with your final educational certificate:
Upload your final educational certificate to the application form when applying. Please note that all pages of the certificate (including transcript of records) must be scanned and attached to the application. If any page is missing, the application is not complete.
Only final certificates awarded by national and regional bodies granting educational certificates will be accepted. Therefore, various other documents such as “Result slips”, “Testimonials”, “Statements of Results”, “Examination Results” are not considered official certificates. Note! We do not accept Provisional certificates.
Note! You can apply for the Rolling admission if your degree is completed. The final degree certificate must be uploaded to your application.

2. A copy of the transcript of records  
Please note that only the GPA is considered in the certificate-based admission. The attached degree certificates must clearly indicate the grade point average (GPA) of the degree.

3. Translation of your degree certificate
A copy of an authorized Finnish, Swedish or English translation of the certificate must be provided, if the certificates is not written in one of these languages. Authorized translations must include the signature and the stamp of the translator.

4. Proof of English language skills
When applying, attach a copy of your language skills test as well as other required information, in regard to your proof of English language skills, to your application form. A test number, for example.
Applicants without an accepted English language certificate must take part in an interview.
If you are applying with SAT test, you don´t need to attach English language certificate to your application.

5. Identification documents
Attach a valid identification document to your application form.
The following documents are accepted as proof of identity in KAMK Rolling Application:

• passport,
• Finnish identity card with a photo, issued by police,
• Finnish driver’s license and
• another EU/ETA country identity card with a photo.
• The required identification document must be valid

All applicants must upload a valid identification document to their application form. Please note that your application form will not be taken into consideration in the admission process, if you don’t submit the required proof of identity when applying.

6. Video task for Bachelor´s Degree in Sports Coaching and Business Management
In the Sports Coaching and Business Managementt in Rolling Admission, applicants are required to submit a video task. The video task must be submitted together with the application. Note! If an applicant applies Sports degree with SAT test score, the video task is not required.

7.  Copy of document exempting from tuition fees  
The tuition fees will concern non-EU/EEA degree students. The tuition fee does not apply to persons who are citizens of EU countries, in the EEA, or persons who are treated as EU citizens by agreement by the EU, or the family members of such persons.

Only complete applications will be processed in order of arrival.

Application is considered to be completed when application form has been sent, application fee has been paid by given deadline and all necessary attachments are attached to it. Attachments must be uploaded at the same time when submitting the application. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements and student admission criteria. Study places will be offered to the eligible applicants who meet the admission criteria in the order of arrival.

Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Global Business Management 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• In order to be eligible to apply for this Master’s level degree programme you must have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree or other higher education degree with a minimum 54% GPA requirement. KAMK reserves the right to assess and determine whether an applicant’s educational background is suitable for the selected programme of study.
• Have a minimum of two years (24 months) of relevant work experience in the field of business, commerce, or technology/computer science accumulated as from the date of award of the final Bachelor´s degree certificate and obtained no later than 31 July 2027

Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Tourism Business Management: 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• In order to be eligible to apply for this Master’s level degree programme you must have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree or other higher education degree with a minimum 54% GPA requirement. KAMK reserves the right to assess and determine whether an applicant’s educational background is suitable for the selected programme of study.
• The applicant must also have a minimum of 15 ECTS of tourism/business studies.
• Have a minimum of two years (24 months) of relevant work experience accumulated as from the date of award of the final Bachelor´s degree certificate and obtained no later than 31 July 2027.
• Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism may use work experience from any field. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in another field must have the required work experience specifically in tourism.

In order to be eligible to apply for Master’s level degree programme you must have completed a Bachelor’s level degree and have a minimum of two years (24 months) of work experience after the completion of the Bachelor’s degree and obtained no later than 31 July 2027.

Please note that there may be programme-specific differences in the work experience requirement for Master’s programmes, nevertheless all applicants must have a minimum of 24 months of relevant work experience completed after earning their Bachelor’s degree.

The employment certificates must include the following information: the exact start and end dates of employment, working title, work duties, the employer’s contact information, as well as working hours for part-time work and a signature of the employer. If the employment is still ongoing, the applicant should request a temporary employment certificate from the employer.

Work experience is given in full months. When converting part-time work (work under 35 hours per week) into its full-time equivalent, 150 hours or 20 working days lasting at least 7 hours per day cor-respond to one month of work. Work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained with the same employer. The amount of work experience points awarded for simultaneous employment relationships may not exceed the amount awarded for full-time employment.

Entrepreneurship will be accepted as work experience if an applicant can produce a certificate attesting that he or she is or has been covered under the statutory YEL or MYEL pension scheme. (YEL = statutory pension scheme for entrepreneurs; MYEL = statutory pension scheme for farmers, forest estate owners, fishers and reindeer herders and their family members). Enterprising activities abroad should be substantiated with comparable official documents.

Military or non-military national service, women’s voluntary military service or child-care leave will not be counted towards work experience.

• National Certificate of Language Proficiency (YKI) English: Grade 4 or higher on all the subtests (speaking, listening comprehension, writing, and reading comprehension)
• An English language test is not required if you have earned a higher education degree taught in English at a university or university of applied sciences in any country (on bachelor or master level).
• The degree/programme must be taught and assessed entirely in English. The language of instruction must be clearly indicated in educational documents.
• Upload a copy of your degree certificate and transcript of records to the application form.

No other methods of demonstrating English language skills are accepted.

The English language certificate must be submitted together with the application.

You can be considered in the certificate-based selection if your Bachelor´s or Master´s degree meets the general eligibility requirements for Master’s studies and you have provided sufficient documentation of both the qualification and its grading system in your application.

Good academic performance is required for admission through certificate-based selection.

The minimum accepted average (GPA) is 54%. Each application is assessed individually, as grading systems differ between countries.

In the Master’s programmes in Rolling Admission, applicants are required to submit a video task. The video task must be submitted together with the application.

The maximum length of the video is 5 minutes. Use your own words, do not read from notes.

1. Tell us about yourself, your education, work experience, and key roles.

2. Why have you chosen this master’s programme in Global Business Management/Tourism and to study in Finland? How does this programme specifically support your personal and professional goals?

3. Give a concrete example that demonstrates your ability to complete demanding tasks or studies independently. What strategies did you use, and how effective were they?

4. Based on your understanding, what are the key differences between higher education in Finland and your home country? What challenges do you expect, and how will you adapt your learning approach to succeed?

The video must be recorded in English a commonly supported format (e.g. MP4, MOV).

Name the file using the following format: Lastname_Firstname_Programme (e.g. Smith_Anna_GlobalBusinessManagement)

Assessment: Pass / Fail.

The applicant must attach the following documents and the video task to their application form.

1. Bachelor’s or Master´s degree certificate with required GPA 

A copy of the Bachelor’s and Master´s degree certificate
If the applicant applies with a master’s degree’s GPA, they must also submit their bachelor’s degree certificate.
Only final certificates awarded by national and regional bodies granting educational certificates will be accepted. Therefore, various other documents such as “Result slips”, “Testimonials”, “Statements of Results”, “Examination Results” are not considered as official certificates. Note! We do not accept Provisional certificates.

A copy of the Transcript of records
Please note that all pages of the certificate (including transcript of records) must be scanned and attached to the application. If any page is missing, the application is not complete.

A copy of an official Finnish, Swedish or English translation of the certificate must be provided, if the certificate is not written in one of these languages. The translation must have the translator’s signature and stamp.

The attached degree certificates must clearly indicate the grade point average (GPA) of the degree.

2. Proof of English language skills 

To be selected, the applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or previous studies. English language proficiency must be demonstrated as specified in the admission criteria. No exceptions will be made.

3. Identification documents 
Attach a valid identification document to your application form.

The following documents are accepted as proof of identity in KAMK Rolling Application:

• passport,
• Finnish identity card with a photo, issued by police,
• Finnish driver’s license and
• another EU/ETA country identity card with a photo.
• The required identification document must be validAll applicants must upload a valid identification document to their application form. Please note that your application form will not be taken into consideration in the admission process, if you don’t submit the required proof of identity when applying.

4. Work certificate(s) for the Master´s Degrees

The employment certificates must include the following information: the exact start and end dates of employment, working title, work duties, the employer’s contact information, as well as working hours for part-time work and signature of the employer. If the employment is still ongoing, the applicant should request a temporary employment certificate from the employer.

Work experience is given in full months. When converting part-time work (work under 35 hours per week) into its full-time equivalent, 150 hours or 20 working days lasting at least 7 hours per day corresponding to one month of work. Work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained with the same employer. The amount of work experience points awarded for simultaneous employment relationships may not exceed the amount awarded for full-time employment.

Entrepreneurship will be accepted as work experience if an applicant can produce a certificate attesting that he or she is or has been covered under the statutory YEL or MYEL pension scheme. (YEL = statutory pension scheme for entrepreneurs; MYEL = statutory pension scheme for farmers, forest estate owners, fishers and reindeer herders and their family members). Enterprising activities abroad should be substantiated with comparable official documents.

Military or non-military national service, women’s voluntary military service or child-care leave will not be counted towards work experience.

Please note that the following documents are not accepted as work certificates: employment contracts, employment offer letters, letters of recommendations, a resume/CV, pay slips.

5. Video task 

Applicants must submit a video task. The video task must be attached to the application.

6. Copy of document exempting from tuition fees 

The tuition fees will concern non-EU/EEA degree students. The tuition fee does not apply to persons who are citizens of EU countries, in the EEA, or persons who are treated as EU citizens by agreement by the EU, or the family members of such persons.

Notice! For your documents to be accepted: 

The name and birth date provided must be the same in all your documents (ID, transcripts, degree certificate, etc.)
The name on your documents must match the name on your application form.
If the names are different, you must provide us with documentation (for example, a marriage certificate if you’ve been married) as to why they don’t match.

If the birthdate on any of your documents is different from your passport, the difference must be explained with official documentation.

Please make sure that all attachments are of good quality, easy to read, full-color scans, or photographs of the complete required documentation. Enclosures that do not meet these requirements may be rejected.
