Rolling admission offers a new way to apply for degree studies at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.
The application period is open on Studyinfo.fi from 4 November 2025 to 26 February 2026.
Studies start in August 2026.
Applications are reviewed, and study places offered in the order in which complete applications are received. Priority is given to applicants who submit all required attachments by the deadline and pay the application fee. Once all available study places have been filled, no further applications will be processed, and remaining applicants will not be considered for admission. Please note: there is no waiting list.

Important: You can submit only one application during the Rolling Admission period.
Rolling admission is based on certificate-based selection. Eligibility for KAMK Bachelor’s degree programmes in Rolling Admission through Certificate-based selection is a certain type of higher/upper secondary education (e.g. high school diploma) from a certain country with minimum GPA requirements.

If the timing of Rolling Admission doesn’t suit your plans, we recommend applying to KAMK degree programmes through the joint application in spring 2026. Please note that eligibility criteria and selection methods may differ in the joint application process.
The application process is based on rolling admission, and the number of available study places is limited. Once all places have been filled, no further applications will be accepted. This process does not include a waiting list or replacement selection.
Applications are processed in the order of arrival. A study place is offered to the first eligible applicants who meet the admission criteria and submit a complete application.
Please note: Only one application may be submitted during the Rolling Admission period. You may apply to one degree programme only.
Application is considered to be completed when application form has been sent, application fee has been paid by given deadline and all necessary attachments are attached to it. Attachments must be uploaded by at the same time when submitting the application. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements and student admission criteria. Study places will be offered to the eligible applicants who meet the admission criteria in the order of arrival.

How to apply
Admission Results and Study Place Confirmation
Applicants who accept their study place must also register as either attending or non-attending students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Those admitted who are required to pay tuition fees will only be registered as attending students upon payment of the fees. Tuition fee must be paid within 14 days. Please be aware that applying through educational agents or organizations does not provide any advantages in securing a study place.
Please take into consideration the One Study Place per Term -provision! A student may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term. This rule applies to all higher education. Applicant can accept only one study place in a degree programme starting in autumn 2026 in a university of applied sciences or a university in Finland. Application fee
There will be an application fee when applying to higher education. Application fee is collected from applicants from countries outside EU/EEA. Please read more about application fees at Studyinfo.fi.
The application fee is not refunded if you cancel your application or are not offered admission.
Applicants need to accept the study place and pay the tuition fee within 14 days.
The Early Bird scholarship is not available for applicants applying through rolling admission.

Information on accepting the study place will be sent by emails to accepted students. Study place is accepted electronically by using the link in the email.
Make sure that to confirm your study place by the given deadline. Otherwise, you will lose the offered study place. Confirmation of the study place is binding and cannot be altered or cancelled.
Deadline to arrive to start your studies at KAMK
New students admitted to programmes beginning in autumn 2026 are required to arrive by 18 August 2026 at the latest.

Original documents will be checked from admitted students
The original documents must be equivalent to the copies delivered during the application period. The applicant who has enrolled as present and does not bring the original certificates to be checked when asked or does not change the enrollment of presence into enrolment of absence, will forfeit the right to study.
Please store the original certificates which you used for applying. Original documents will be verified at the campus if necessary and all selected students must have their original documents with them when moving into Kajaani.

All applicants of the KAMK´s Bachelor´s programmes, including native speakers of English, must demonstrate their English language proficiency
Applications without the required proof of language proficiency will be rejected.
English language skills can be proved by the following documents:
* IELTS Academic UKVI, IELTS Online, PTE Academic Online, PTE Academic UKVI and TOEFL iBT Home Edition and Oxford ELLT Digital are also accepted.
**The language of instruction must be clearly stated on official documents (also in cases where the official language of the degree awarding country is English). You can also document this by submitting a certificate/letter from your university / educational institution in addition to your official study documentation. If the applicant’s degree includes courses conducted in a language other than English, the degree might not meet the requirement.
***If you have taken the TOEFL test on or after 21 January 2026, a minimum total score of 3.5 is required.
The certificate must be submitted no later than 7 days after the application has been filed.
There are no expiration dates, but the language test results must be verifiable from the online verification service of the organizer. The TOEFL test cannot be verified after two years. The IELTS test cannot be verified after three years. If the test scores can no longer be verified, the test is not valid. The applicant should make sure that the test results are not too old. If the applicant is unsure and the test results are more than 2 years old, it is advised to retake the test.
The language test result must remain valid for a minimum of 14 days following the submission of the application.
Only the tests listed above will be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

The required educational documents: Academic Transcript, Provisional Certificate ja Migration Certificate. These three documents are compulsory documents for proving eligibility for UAS studies. If you do not have your Migration Certificate anymore, then upload a letter from the Board that you have been given it.
Pakistan:
60% or higher
Sri Lanka:
60% or higher (Advanced level certificate)
Only the countries and GPA requirements listed above will be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
Interviews:
Online interviews will be arranged during the application period. The applicants will be invited to take the interview in the order of applications. Only eligible applicants can be invited for the interview.
Interviews will be held online via Teams on the following days
The interview lasts approximately 30 minutes.
The applicants must prove their identity at the start of the interview.
The interview evaluates the applicant’s motivation and commitment for the studies, language skills and aptitude for the chosen field.
The interview will be assessed on a scale of pass / fail.
The applicant must join the meeting on time. It is not possible to change the online interview time. Please note that if you join the interview late so that the interview cannot be fully conducted, the interview will be failed.
Applicants will be notified of the result of the student selection as soon as the application has been processed and the student has attended the online interview.
Only applicants who submit the degree with the required GPA, proof of English proficiency and have paid the application fee will be invited to the interview.

The applicant must attach the following documents to their application form, when applying:
1. Final educational certificate
Applying with your final educational certificate:
Upload your final educational certificate to the application form when applying. Please note that all pages of the certificate (including transcript of records) must be scanned and attached to the application. If any page is missing, the application is not complete.
Degrees must be completed by 4 November 2025.
2. Translation of your degree certificate
A copy of an authorized Finnish, Swedish or English translation of the certificate must be provided, if the certificate is not written in one of these languages. Authorized translations must include the signature and the stamp of the translator.
3. Proof of English language skills
When applying, attach a copy of your language skills test as well as other required information, in regards to your proof of English language skills, to your application form. A test number for example.
4. Identification documents

Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Global Business Management in Rolling admission through Certificate-Based Selection
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or Computer Sciences from specific countries, with a minimum GPA requirement.
Have a minimum of two years (24 months) of relevant work experience in the field of business, commerce, or technology/computer science, acquired after completing the Bachelor’s degree and obtained no later than 4 November 2025.

In order to be eligible to apply for Master’s level degree programme you must have completed a Bachelor’s level degree and have a minimum of two years (24 months) of work experience after the completion of the Bachelor’s degree and obtained no later than 4 November 2025.
Please note that there may be programme-specific differences in the work experience requirement for Master’s programmes, nevertheless all applicants must have a minimum of 24 months of relevant work experience completed after earning their Bachelor’s degree.
The employment certificates must include the following information: the exact start and end dates of employment, working title, work duties, the employer’s contact information, as well as working hours for part-time work and a signature of the employer. If the employment is still ongoing, the applicant should request a temporary employment certificate from the employer.
Work experience is given in full months. When converting part-time work (work under 35 hours per week) into its full-time equivalent, 150 hours or 20 working days lasting at least 7 hours per day cor-respond to one month of work. Work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained with the same employer. The amount of work experience points awarded for simultaneous employment relationships may not exceed the amount awarded for full-time employment.
Entrepreneurship will be accepted as work experience if an applicant can produce a certificate attesting that he or she is or has been covered under the statutory YEL or MYEL pension scheme. (YEL = statutory pension scheme for entrepreneurs; MYEL = statutory pension scheme for farmers, forest estate owners, fishers and reindeer herders and their family members). Enterprising activities abroad should be substantiated with comparable official documents.
Military or non-military national service, women’s voluntary military service or child-care leave will not be counted towards work experience.

Accepted methods of proving your language proficiency in English:

In the Master’s programmes with rolling admission, applicant must submit a video task.
Video task must be attached to the application no later than 7 days after the application has been submitted.
Instructions for the Video Task
Maximum length of the video is 5 minutes. Use your own words, do not read from notes.
The video must be recorded in English a commonly supported format (e.g. MP4, MOV).
Name the file using the following format: Lastname_Firstname_Programme (e.g. Smith_Anna_GlobalBusinessManagement)

In order to be eligible to apply for Master’s level degree programme you must have completed a Bachelor’s level degree and have a minimum of two years (24 months) of work experience after the completion of the Bachelor’s degree and obtained no later than 4 November 2025.
Please note that the following documents are not accepted as work certificates: employment contracts, employment offer letters, letters of recommendations, a resume/CV, pay slips.
5. Video task
In the Master’s programmes with rolling admission, applicant must submit a video task.
Video task must be attached to the application no later than 7 days after the application has been submitted.
