Congratulation on your study place! On this page, you will find useful information for a smooth start of your studies. Please read the material carefully and make sure to take all the necessary steps to secure your study place.
We are happy to help you with any questions you may have and look forward to meeting you at the orientation!
The studies will start with a joint orientation in August. You are expected to attend the orientation week and the courses from the beginning, as we will share a lot of practical information about studying during the orientation week, and your presence will help you to get to know each other, the group and the campus.
For part-time Master’s degree students the studies start with compulsory orientation online.
All new students have to be present on the first day of study. The last possible arrival date in Kajaani is 15 September 2024. It is not possible to join the courses after this date. In case you cannot travel to Kajaani by 15 September due to residence permit delays, you can do autumn semester studies independently.
Those who did not receive the residence permit in time for the autumn semester, are expected to be in Kajaani by the start of the spring semester (7 January 2025). It is not possible to start in the spring semester without completing the autumn semester courses. **Check the degree-specific exceptions!**
