Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) is a proactive and internationally-oriented university located in central Finland. Our vision is to be a small yet influential university of applied sciences. We tackle problems through a multidisciplinary approach, utilizing data and expertise in gamification, while also emphasizing the importance of human values. Our small size allows us to focus on interpersonal skills, which are among our key strengths.
KAMK has achieved remarkable success in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s outcome barometers. As of the 2022 funding indicators, KAMK is the top-performing university of applied sciences in Finland within the category of small and medium-sized universities. Additionally, the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (FINEEC) has awarded KAMK a quality label, valid until spring 2027.
Looking ahead to 2030, KAMK aims to become an attractive and resilient university community, providing successful and efficient education in our areas of operation.
