INSPIS – Innovative Social and Healthcare Services through an Innovation Ecosystem
The project initiates the construction of Kainuu’s “Innovation Ecosystem for Good Health and Wellbeing”. An innovation ecosystem refers to cross-actor and cross-sector collaboration and the ability to create value broadly for various stakeholders to achieve a shared goal or mission. The focus of the innovation ecosystem is on promoting good health and wellbeing rather than merely building a wellbeing services county.

The project involves the initial two development phases of the innovation ecosystem: the exploration phase and the experimentation phase.

Green Transition
The project will generate knowledge to support the green transition by developing targeted education and training programs. It will focus on clean transition energy production technologies and markets, sustainable development and responsible business practices, as well as service models and innovations that promote sustainability.

Energy Transition Management
The energy sector is rapidly transforming, posing risks without proper management and expertise. An EU-funded project by Kajaani, Tampere, and Vaasa Universities of Applied Sciences develops tools to manage this transition. It includes a new Master’s degree program, educational solutions, collaboration networks, and a digital learning game to support energy transition management.

ENIHEI-network
ENIHEI is a network of 38 higher education institutions recognized by the European Commission for their outstanding performance in some area of the European innovation ecosystem. ENIHEI develops collective innovative thinking on how higher education can drive innovation. Members of the European Network of Higher Education Institutions (ENIHEI) form a forum to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences on how higher education can promote an innovation culture, and enable creativity, entrepreneurship, and talent.

NoBaN – Nordic-Baltic Network for Game Development Education.
A collaboration network in the game industry funded by Nordplus, comprising Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, the University of Tartu (Estonia), UiT The Arctic University of Norway, EKA University of Applied Sciences (Latvia), Tvibit (Norway), and the Latvian Technological Center.
