Visit KAMK brings career event, top speakers and a new innovation challenge to Kajaani campus

Visit KAMK offers a unique opportunity to explore Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, hear inspiring talks from top speakers, and network with companies. This year, alongside local success stories, the event will be starred by familiar national TV personalities. The event is free and open to everyone.

Dreaming of a package tour, weekend getaway, or backpacking trip? In other words – are you interested in KAMK’s study opportunities, campus life, or new career and recruitment opportunities?

Visit KAMK will take place on Wednesday 8 October 2025 from 10:00 to 15:00 on the Kajaani campus. This year’s event is inspired by the theme of a classic sightseeing tour. The hop-on hop-off concept reflects the idea that you can join KAMK at any stage of your life.

At themed stops located around the campus, visitors can, for example, plan their career journey at the Career and Networking Event, discover KAMK’s highlights on guided tours, and be inspired by a variety of speeches. The event also offers an excellent opportunity to find internships, job placements, or new cooperation partners.

For the first time this year, the Tiili Innovation Challenge will challenge student teams to solve development tasks provided by companies, drawing on creativity, expertise and teamwork.

– The Tiili Innovation Challenge is a brand-new concept, and we are eager to see what kind of solutions our students will create! The mentor for Tiili will be Petri Matero, who himself competed on the Finnish version of The Apprentice. This way, our students will receive top-level coaching to support their work, says Tanja Keränen, Head of Communications at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.

Nationally known stars on stage

Throughout the day, the audience will hear stories of inspiration and working life skills from top speakers representing different fields. The lineup includes actress Jaana Saarinen, social media influencer and former police officer Arttu Kilpeläinen, Finland’s most renowned packaging designer Outi Oravainen, and several experts in gaming, science and wellbeing. See the full lineup in here!

The event will be hosted by well-known fashion journalist Sami Sykkö and Kajaani’s official ambassador Paavo Haverinen.

– This will be the biggest event of the year, with a lot to see and experience for everyone! The full range of KAMK’s study fields will be in the spotlight, and over 80 exhibitors will join the Career and Networking Event. The speaker lineup is diverse, and our hosts will make sure that the energy will stay high. We warmly welcome everyone to get inspired, network and discover new opportunities, Keränen adds.
