Applied Geopolymer Technology Unit

The Applied Geopolymer Technology unit, founded in 2012, offers specialized expertise to our clients, encompassing a range of services from material characterization to small-scale industrial pilot projects. Our research laboratories are a combination of professional grade infrastructure and a team of seasoned, innovative professionals. With over 15 years of experience in the development of wastewater treatment technologies and the implementation of waste management practices in the Kainuu region, we have established a strong foundation in our field.

Our services bolster research, development, and innovation initiatives at local, national, and international levels. The unit collaborates closely with national entities such as VTT, Luke, and various universities, encompassing both academic and applied sciences. A well-established network of industrial and academic partners spans a geography that extends from South America to the Middle East.
