Area Map

The event will be held at the Kajaani campus, located in the Vimpeli campus area. Due to the limited number of parking spaces, we encourage visitors from nearby areas to arrive by local bus, on foot, or by bicycle.

We kindly ask you to note that Ketunpolku is a residential street where vehicles must give pedestrians unobstructed right of way.

Exhibitors

We offer exhibitors the opportunity to bring materials for their presentation stands close to the entrances, and we will designate a separate parking area for vehicles. We will inform exhibitors about this separately.

Bicycle Parking

The campus area has bicycle shelters and over 200 frame-lockable bicycle parking spots.

Car Parking

The parking area is located nearby, on the field behind the city maintenance depot and the rescue station.

Bus Transportation

Parking for bus transportation will be announced later.

The Visit KAMK event will be held in the Taito 1, Taito 2, and Tieto 2 buildings. Additionally, the event will extend to the Event Market, which is located in the parking area between the Taito 1 and Taito 2 buildings.

Information Desk

At the information desk, you can get information about the event and its schedules. Guided tours to the study program presentations also depart from the information desk.

We also provide guidance and assistance for exhibitors at the information desk during the event. In addition, the information desk serves as a lost and found.

Cloakroom

There is no supervised cloakroom at the event, but visitors can leave their coats in the coat racks of the various buildings at their own risk.

Food and Drink Stations

There are two cafés on the campus (in the Taito 1 and Taito 2 buildings) and the student restaurant Fox (in the Tieto 2 building), where you can purchase food and drinks during the event day. The Event Market is open throughout the event.

We will provide exhibitors with a dedicated break room as well as the opportunity to store their own refreshments.

Restrooms

Each building at Kajaani Campus has restroom facilities available for event visitors.

Waste and Recycling

The campus provides recycling facilities for different types of waste. Please dispose of your waste in the appropriate bins.

We want participants of Visit KAMK to enjoy the event in a safe and secure environment. In planning and executing the event, we collaborate with various authorities, and on the event day, security personnel and first aid patrols will be present in the event area.

Please attend the event only if you are healthy. If you feel unwell or have flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask you to stay at home.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility – let’s work together to make Visit KAMK a smooth and pleasant event!

First Aid

The first aid station is located in front of the sports hall in the Taito 2 building. In addition to the first aid station, first aid patrols will be moving around the event area, identifiable by their first aid vests.

Transportation

Please follow the signs and marked routes on the campus. Cars, bicycles, and other vehicles should be left in designated areas.

Structures

Climbing on stage structures and other event constructions or otherwise endangering structures is prohibited. Anyone who damages structures will be liable to compensate for the damage caused.

Photography

Photography at Visit KAMK is allowed with both phone cameras and DSLR/Mirrorless cameras. However, we ask that camera equipment, such as tripods, not be brought inside campus buildings. For safety reasons, drones and drone flying are prohibited in the event area.

Please respect the privacy of other event participants when taking photos and do not publish clearly identifiable images of others without permission.

Videotaping and recording speeches and lectures is prohibited. Security personnel have the right to prohibit photography, such as at the request of a speaker, during the event.

Photography and videography will take place in the Visit KAMK event area for event communication and marketing purposes. These materials may appear not only in KAMK’s own marketing and communication channels but also, for example, in the channels of KAMK’s partners.

Animals

Bringing animals inside campus buildings is prohibited for safety reasons. During the event, animals must be kept on a leash in outdoor areas of the campus.
