Project description
INSPIS Project Overview (Innovation Ecosystem for Health and Wellbeing in Kainuu)
The aim of the INSPIS project is to establish an innovation ecosystem for good health and wellbeing in the Kainuu region. A key element in establishing this ecosystem is collaboration and networking between companies and other organizations, enabling them to jointly promote the health and wellbeing of Kainuu residents in the future. As the innovation ecosystem takes shape, the vitality of the region will increase, and social and healthcare services can be produced in new ways.
Project Structure: Three Work Packages
– Work Package 1: Exploration Phase- Partners identify opportunities for collaboration, begin developing ways to work together, and initiate joint development efforts.
– International benchmarking targets are also identified and explored.
– Practical actions include:- Development of the “Yritysmiitti” concept, which connects the service needs of the Kainuu wellbeing services county with solutions offered by SMEs. The aim is to identify shared development themes (excluding direct procurements) for further advancement.
– Launch of a multidisciplinary research group consisting of master’s degree students from Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK), who contribute to the project through their thesis work.
– Production of a conference paper on actors and their roles in the emerging innovation ecosystem (Meriläinen & Moisanen: Actor categorisation and roles in innovation ecosystem in birth stage).
– Work Package 2: Experimentation Phase- Collaboration matures and takes shape.
– Jointly developed solutions are piloted.
– Work Package 3: Project Management and Communication- Includes administrative coordination and stakeholder communication.
