Data Nexus Solutions Lab
The Data Nexus Solutions Lab (DNS Lab) specializes in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics proof-of-concept testing and solutions. DNS Lab assists companies and public organizations in enhancing their AI capabilities, knowledge of AI technologies, and their application within business operations.
We aim to contribute to the development of production efficiency, faster service implementation, and optimizing operations by leveraging AI, data analytics, and high-performance computing. DNS Lab is a core partner in the AIKA DIH Ecosystem.
Our Core Expertise
- Technical know-how to carry out work with AI and data analytics for case-specific needs and data, regardless of the business sector or technology
- Applied AI – developing AI technologies and studying their business impacts, across all stages of data-based value creation. AI technologies such as, but not limited to, machine learning, image recognition, predictive maintenance, neural networks
- Fine-tuning large language models specifically tailored to the company’s requirements based on its data
- Data analytics, high performance computing (HPC) and supercomputers
- Growth and funding expertise for startups and SMEs, technology business development and internationalization
Research and Study Infrastructure
Our AI and data analytics pilots often utilize CSC`s supercomputers including LUMI, MAHTI and PUHTI, which are located in Kajaani. When HPC capabilities are not needed, we can run tests in our own secure environment or in your organization`s own environment, depending on your preference.

KAMK and its Data Nexus Solutions Lab is a core partner of the AIKA Ecosystem, along with CSC – IT Center for Science. Within our work, several AI pilot cases have been implemented.
