Cases and References
The Nature and Digital-based Education on Ecotourism Project (Nordplus Adult 2022) aimed to promote ecotourism-based education by encouraging adults to expand their knowledge of natural environments and practice responsible travel. It also sought to equip tourism professionals with advanced ecotourism expertise, enabling them to develop and deliver ecotourism products both on-site and virtually. Additionally, this training provided an opportunity for people living in rural and remote areas to create new income sources.
As part of the project, a guide and story maps were developed to support the organization of ecotours. The programs were implemented in accordance with the principles of responsible tourism.
