Joint application period for English taught studies starts 8.1.2025 – KAMK offering two new Bachelor’s degree programs for application
The application round for studies starting in autumn 2025 is open between 8 and 22 January 2025.
At Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK), the following seven English-taught bachelor´s degrees and four Master´s degrees are open for applications:
• Bachelor´s Degree in International Business, full-time
• Bachelor´s Degree in Sports Coaching and Business Management, full-time
• Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, full-time
• Bachelor’s Degree in Esports Business, full-time
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, full-time
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Development in th Age of AI, part-time (in capital-region)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology, Game Development, full-time
• Master´s Degree in International Business Management, part-time
• Master´s Degree in Global Business Management, full-time
• Master´s Degree in Game Business Management (business), part-time
• Master´s Degree in Game Business Management (engineering), part-time
This year, for the first time, applications are open for the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. The program will begin in the fall of 2025, and 25 students will be admitted based on entrance exams held in March. The requirements for the studies include sufficient English language skills, as well as the study abilities and suitability for the field required for university-level education.
“The structure of the Nursing program is regulated by both national legislation and an EU directive. Essential to the studies is practical training in various nursing units, says Karimi Ngui.
The other new program starting in the fall of 2025 is the Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development in the Age of AI. This part-time engineering program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the rapidly evolving field of software development. The curriculum merges traditional software engineering principles with modern AI techniques, providing a comprehensive education that prepares students to design, develop, and deploy intelligent software systems.
The program is offered in a blended learning format, combining on-campus and online components, allowing students to balance their studies with work. Face-to-face teaching occurs primarily twice a week between 12:00 PM and 4:30 PM during the workweek (Monday to Friday). These sessions are held in the capital region and are also available online.
The other bachelor’s degree programmes offered by KAMK also focus on the specifics of each sector from an international perspective: the International Business programme focuses on business, the Esports Business programme focuses on business from an e-sport perspective, the Sports Coaching and Business Management programme provides strong expertise in the sports and coaching sector, and the Tourism programme focuses on Hospitality Management ja Wellbeing from the Arctic Nature.
KAMK Master School offers four English-language degrees for application. The Master´s Degree in International Business Management and the Master´s Degree in Global Business Management focus on strategic management, global economic phenomena and the use of new technologies in business. The Master´s Degree in Game Business Management (business and engineering) focuses on management, research and development methods, international game business and game development project management and leadership.
The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA citizens in bachelor´s degrees at KAMK is 8 000 euros and in Master´s degrees 12 000 euros per academic year. Further information on the tuition fees
