The INSPIS – Innovative Social and Healthcare Services through an Innovation Ecosystem project aims to establish an innovation ecosystem for good health and wellbeing in Kainuu. In the first phase of the project, one of the goals is to facilitate the meeting of companies. This goal has been addressed during the spring with INSPIS Business Meetings (INSPIS-yritysmiitti).

Novel Solutions for Providing Social and Health Services

At the business meetings, participants brainstorm, discuss, and reflect together on novel solutions for providing social and health care services. In the meetings the participants have explored possibilities for data monitoring and analysis, ideated digital services, and identified needs and wishes for rehabilitation and home care services for example.

– Companies have actively participated in the INSPIS Business Meetings, with several companies ranging from local to international players involved. Companies are interested in the functioning of the wellbeing services and are eager to develop solutions and create new collaborations, says Project Manager Kirsi Meriläinen from Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.

The discussions held at the business meetings have increased mutual understanding and refined ideas on how the INSPIS project can support co-development.

At the Heart of Co-Development

The business meetings bring together companies, representatives of the Wellbeing services county of Kainuu, and the INSPIS project team, providing an opportunity for companies and wellbeing services’ representatives to get acquainted. The discussion atmosphere has been open and positive, creating a good foundation for collaboration.

– Challenges have also been discussed openly. From the companies’ perspective, one challenge is finding the right contacts within the Wellbeing services county of Kainuu. The INSPIS project aims to address this need, says Project Specialist Anne Kemppainen from the Wellbeing services county of Kainuu.

The piloting of INSPIS Business Meetings will continue next autumn, and the concept will be further developed based on results and feedback. If your company is interested in participating in the INSPIS Business Meetings, you can register by contacting Project Manager Kirsi Meriläinen.

Kajaani University of Applied Sciences implements the INSPIS project in collaboration with the Wellbeing services county of Kainuu. The project is co-funded by the European Union and will run until June 30, 2027.
