ECTS Advances Internationality

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) is a European course grade transfer and accreditation system. 1 ECTS credit is equal to 1 Finnish credit (cr). This equals to approx. 27 hours of a student's work. A full workload for students is 1600 hours per year equaling to 60 ECTS.

The aim of ECTS is to ease students’ mobility by offering comparable information on universities and their degree programmes. Also, its aim is to facilitate the approval and recognition of studies accomplished abroad.

Kajaani University of Applied Sciences offers two degree programmes leading to a Bachelor’s degree in English language:

In autumn 2017, we  will restart our Bachelor's Degree in Tourism taught in English language.

In addition to the English-taught programmes, we offer 9 Bachelor level degree programmes and 5 Master level degree programmes delivered in Finnish.
